This is a two-part bookcase we built for Barbara and Cary, specifically to fit into that little alcove. The design is intended to match two other Early American pieces Barbara already had. Pretty pleased with the result.
The top of each piece is some old, very wide pine from Cary's old house.
Poor wall-system design and a broken gutter resulted in clapboards, boarding, and studs that had completely rotted away.
Of course I forgot to photograph the floor before I wrecked it, but it looked pretty similar to the around it. It felt mushier, though.
This is a box to cover a plumbing filter of some sort
We provided a second-opinion assessment as to what the Egg House actually needed for insurance purposes, made the necessary small repairs, and coordinated with a plumber to get it set up for the Winter.
I have such fun sometimes.
Most recently at Renee's we reduced the height of the middle reception desk.
